The WaterGurus Queensland Team participated in the recent Institute of Plumbing Inspectors Queensland 14th State Conference held on the Sunshine Coast from the 29-31 October 2009.

The Institute of Plumbing Inspectors play a key role in the approval and inspection process of both black and grey and grey water treatment in Queensland.

The event was a great opportunity to build stronger relations with the council as well as introduce new products via our WaterGurus trade display.

The WaterGurus used the event to announce the upcoming approval of NovaGrey, introduce the new FujiClean CE1200 and CRX models and discuss the benefits of AquaFilm anti-evaporation film.

The highlight was no doubt the glowing report of the NovaClear system by Sunshine Coast Plumbing Inspector and NovaClear owner Peter Rhimes on the water quality and performance of his NovaClear System, thank you Peter!

WaterGurus would like to thank the Institute of Plumbing Inspectors for the opportunity to participate and look forward to next years’ event.

NovaClear trial in Rotorua

Rotorua Wastewater Treatment Plant - OSET Facility

The Rotorua wastewater treatment plant – OSET (on site effluent treatment) facility was established in 2005 through the collaboration between the Rotorua District Council, Environment Waikato and Environment Bay of Plenty.

Since it was established there have been four trials and over 20 treatment systems tested under controlled and equal conditions. Each system was dosed daily with a measure volume of raw sewerage, timed and distributed to stimulate the loading from a typical domestic dwelling. Samples were collected by laboratory staff regularly from the effluent and treated effluent from each system and analysed by an IANZ accredited laboratory on site.

While the original focus of the trial was nutrient reduction in response to regional concerns, the site has now evolved into a national testing program, partnered by Water New Zealand, that provides benchmarking for a broad range of contaminants.

Consumers and councils are increasingly demanding independent verification of manufacturer claims of system performance. This facility provides the ideal vehicle for delivering this.

The summary of the performance of the wastewater treatment system during trial four at the onsite effluent treatment national testing facility in Rotorua can be found here.

Dear Dave,

We are truly impressed with your service and efficiency.

Not only do you say what you are going to do and when you are going to do it, but you actually deliver. The unit is now "whisper quiet" and we no longer need to build a baffle to reduce the noise. We will be able to open our bedroom windows in the hot summer evenings.

Thanks again, much appreciated
